Information
The last twelve months have forced communities to earnestly confront many of the fissures and inequalities in society that have previously been ignored. For the surf and outdoor community, topics of diversity have taken center stage as well as the concept of nature as an equalizing healer. While surf and mountain culture have each grappled with access, participation, and representation issues, nature awaits allcomers without judgment or discrimination. This panel examines how and if access to nature represents an essential, unifying community builder and source of mental and physical health during turbulent times or a privilege for those who have historically felt welcome in outdoor culture.#surfdiversity
