Grrrl Gang

Yogyakarta, INDONESIA Grrrl Gang is an indie pop/rock band formed by Angee Sentana, Akbar Rumandung, and Edo Alventa during a car ride one night in 2016 to fill in the time between college classes in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. They first took the stage that year with only three songs up their sleeves, one of them being the incredibly popular "Bathroom". Alongside "Thrills", it was released as a double-single in early 2017, which has earned them quite the recognition. In 2018, they released mini album "Not Sad, Not Fulfilled" on Kolibri Rekords, and followed this up with a tour across Indonesia, also abroad. In 2019, Grrrl Gang went on a brief hiatus as the band concentrated on their studies. Later that year they signed to Damnably Records and released Here To Stay! a remastered compilation LP in 2020, their first venture onto vinyl, that garnered praise from the likes of Pop Matters and 'dean of American Rock Critics' Robert Cristgau, also earning a spot on his best of 2020 list.
