Film & TV Industry
Information
Portugal Film Commission (PFC) aims to support and promote cinema and audio-visual and the internationalization of Portugal as a filming destination, by highlighting the main features of the country, whether through the filming incentives, the amazing locations or the highly skilled professionals Portugal has to offer.
PFC is a Portuguese government project group - Culture and Tourism - , and follows the creation, in 2018, of the Fund to Support Tourism and Cinema.
Portugal also created one of the most competitive incentive systems in Europe: a cash rebate that applies to film and TV with the minimum qualified Portuguese production expenses (QPPE) of €500.000,00 for fiction and animation and €250.000,00 for documentaries and post-production.
PFC can help all producers - national and international - who need assistance in the authorization process for filming in Portugal since we have a direct connection with all entities in the country – regional film commissions, city councils, and many others, public and private. We also have an extensive location and production guide and databases of the various technical and logistic service providers.
PFC seeks to bring to Portugal more and greater international filming, to create the conditions for the Portuguese film and audiovisual industry to strength in order to meet the today challenges, making them partners of great productions/studios that choose our country.
We want everyone who can benefit from these activities and our work to see us as a partner: international producers, investors, national producers, municipalities, communities, schools, cultural facilities. Our mission is to promote the country, in all its diversity.
