British Parking Association

The BPA represents the UK parking and traffic management profession. We are a not-for-profit organisation working with our members and stakeholders to support their communities, improve compliance by those managing and using parking facilities, and encourage fairness to achieve our vision of excellence in parking for all. With 39 million vehicles on Britain’s roads, and increasing every year, it is essential that parking is provided, well managed, and that it works.

The parking sector plays a key role to support the electrification of transport and holds great potential for solar and storage in integrated energy projects. Solar car ports, smart charging and energy storage in car parks offer improvements in sustainability and resilience to address the challenges limited grid supply and net zero policy directives pose. Membership of the BPA offers a wide range opportunities to develop your profile in this important sector, including our regular EVolve webinar series dedicated to providing knowledge exchange on EV and energy issues.

Our 750+ members include local authorities, those providing and managing parking at hospitals, universities, retail and leisure centres, towns and city centres, rail stations and airports. In addition, we represent over 600 individuals and have a separate membership structure to support their professional development.
