Regardless of which authority is appropriate to a location, all standards recommend that an Identification Sign has black lettering on a yellow background which must be visible in both daylight and night-time conditions, either by use of illumination or retro-reflective material. Seaward Safety’s Identification Signs are manufactured using an aluminium composite substrate material; a lightweight alternative to traditional steel plates. To provide the best reflective properties, a 3M Diamond Grade retro-reflective background material is applied, which eliminates the requirement for illumination. Our Identification Signs are also mounted onto a stainless steel frame to offer the best resistance against the Offshore Industry’s typically harsh environmental conditions.
