Information
In the fruit-growing sector, human resources issues are numerous, ranging from managing the seasonal workforce to promoting sustainable practices and adopting new practices, technologies and tools. Effective management of human resources and associated skills is key to the success of this sector, while meeting quality, safety and sustainability standards. There are a number of key human resources issues in this sector:
- Seasonal workforce
- Working conditions
- Training and skills
- Technology and automation
- Sustainability and regulatory compliance
- Labour cost management
- Generational renewal
Fruit 2050 is a biannual event organised by several players in the fruit-growing sector (GIS fruit, VEGEPOLYS VALLEY, CTIFL, Interfel, Club de la presse étrangère and SIVAL) to imagine the fruit production of the future. The aim of Fruit 2050 is to use new knowledge to encourage exchanges between all those involved in the sector: researchers, growers, advisers, experimenters, etc.
For this 2024 edition, the problems linked to Human Resources emerged as predominant, with the difficulties for professionals in identifying solutions and the right players to contact. The 2024 edition of Fruit 2050 has been designed to help professionals find their way around their concerns.
