Sardines are also a common fish. They are the only species of the genus Sardines and belong to the order Herringiformes. Sardines are small, generally one or two inches long, with a lower jaw slightly longer than the upper jaw, inconspicuous teeth, pale back and white belly, and delicious meat. They are mostly used to make canned sardines.
