Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar)

Farmed Arctic Salmon from Iceland is one of the best, and as close to wild Atlantic salmon as can be. The Salmon is farmed at land and at low density in pollution free waters, chemical free, meaning no medicines or delouse chemical agents. There are very strict standards in terms of feed content and the feed is GMO free. After harvesting of each generation, each farming zone is allowed to rest and clear naturally. The farming was the first one in Europe to get Best Aquaculture Practices certification, which focuses primarily on sustainability and traceability.
