The Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund was established in 2007. The CTLF became a certified, Native Community Development Financial Institution in 2012. We are a 501(c)3 tax exempt, non- profit organization.
Our goal is to serve the Chehalis Tribal people with loans, business education, financial literacy, and savings goals. Typically CDFI’s are put in place for the underserved populations, and for the economically distressed. We can offer assistance in several ways: Asset building through savings programs, loans for businesses, debt consolidation, credit building, and home improvement loans.
We offer classes throughout the year on many topics, including: Indianpreneurship (writing a business plan), Financial literacy, Budgeting, Extreme couponing, and Investments. We provide tax assistance with our VITA Program, and a Savings Match Program. The CTLF assists Tribal members with building their credit scores and how to negotiate with creditors to lower their debt.
