Challenges In Democratizing Human Digitization For Digital Fashion

The future of fashion is democratic and digital. Digitizing humans at scale is critical to populating the Metaverse. Traditional motion and volumetric capture techniques require large expensive systems operated by specialized technicians. In this talk, we discuss how recent developments in AI are opening up the possibility of turning one’s mobile phone into a pocket sized motion/volumetric capture studio that can accurately digitize humans in real-time.
