Indra works in the application of Big Data and AI to exploit data from the infrastructure in order to improve rail operation and maintenance. Within the European Innovation project Transforming Transport, Indra demonstrated its application in a real pilot. Algorithms deployed allowed to predict when and where a failure or degradation could occur, enabling the infrastructure manager to put in place strategies for proactive maintenance. This not only improves rail operation, but also reduces cost and improves travelers security.
