SENER’s expertise in a range of disciplines and far-reaching technical capabilities produce R&D solutions in the field of Infrastructure and Transport that are then applied to other areas of operation, such as cryogenic gas tanks, sea port engineering or aerodynamics and mobile material design projects, which incorporate SENER’s own developments in the aerospace sector. The Infrastructure and Transport division has executed numerous R&D projects.
SENERIn the urban transport and railway sector, SENER provides integrated services (design, construction, start-up, operations and maintenance) for conventional and automated metro systems (driverless UTOs), Light Rapid Transits (LRT) or tramways, monorails, Bus Rapid Transits (BRT), People Movers, passenger train lines (both conventional and high speed), freight and mixed train lines.  Featured projects include High Speed 2, California High Speed Rail, Panama Metro Line 1, Guadalajara Metro Line 3, Doha Metro Red Line, Melbourne Metro, Montreal Metro and Salvador monorail. In total, SENER has worked on studies and projects for more than 15,000 km of railway, making it one of the leading companies in this sector.
