The British Business Bank is the UK’s economic development bank, established in 2014 with a mission to drive sustainable growth and prosperity across the UK. It designs, delivers and manages access to finance programmes for smaller businesses that address gaps in the market. As well as increasing the supply and diversity of finance, it raises awareness of the finance options available to smaller businesses, working with more than 200 delivery partners. It is the UK’s largest domestic investor in venture and venture growth capital, and the most active late-stage investor in UK life sciences and deep tech.
