Information
Reduce, reuse, recycle is taught as a way for individuals to lower their environment footprint; however, the bulk of greenhouse gas emissions arise from power generation and industrial manufacturing. More and more of these facilities are being pushed toward lowering their environmental impact and one technique that plants and corporations are looking toward is capturing emissions and repurposing them for alternative usage. While the capturing various byproducts of various energy production processes have their own challenges, the analysis of the purity of these materials is just as important as materials such as carbon dioxide often go toward food and beverage purposes. Here we discuss modern approaches to the capture and analysis of carbon dioxide, sulfur compounds, and high-temperature oils. Additionally, VOC and fence line testing to ensure no unwanted emissions are being released to the environment will be discussed.
