Supra: Light element analysis with MEDXRF
Information
Due to the low excitation energies of lighter elements such as Phosphorous, Sulfur, Silicon, and Aluminum, traditional XRF systems have typically struggled with achieving adequate precision and accuracy at low ppm levels for these elements. However, by utilizing sophisticated optics that monochromate XRF excitation, higher count rates and improved sensitivity can be achieved, dramatically improving the analytical performance at very low concentrations for these difficult elements. Users will now have the ability to get rapid results for elements and concentration levels previously reserved for more difficult to use and time-consuming technologies such as ICP. This presentation will share data showing the performance of an MEDXRF (Monochromatic Energy Dispersive XRF) system, as well as demonstrate the Petra SUPRA analyzer.
