Long Lasting Fragrances with High Emotional Impact: a Possible Match ?
Information
Understanding consumers' emotions can be interesting for fragrance development, but can be complex. It's easy to find examples of emotions, but it's difficult to define feelings, because the term “emotion” means different things to different people.
Furthermore, a fragrance can be effective but not very emotional, or conversely, emotional but not very effective.
In this context, what methods should be put in place to ensure that the fragrances developed will perform well on hedonism and persistence, and that they will meet consumers' emotional expectations?
And above all, how can we establish a methodology for studying emotions that avoids language bias?
In this study, we looked at 4 fragrances developed to target certain emotions. The objectives were to validate the emotional impact and ensure that the fragrances are appreciated and perform well.
