Seikodo Ishida

We established our company in 1947, the same year the Constitution of Japan came into force. At that time Japan was still under the occupation of the allied forces GHQ, and there was the shortage of many everyday goods in people’s lives.

Under such difficult circumstances, the founder Yoshitaka Ishida began work on importing products such as fragrances which were expensive and valuable and the opposite of needs of the daily necessities for everyday life.

However, precisely because we were in such an era, we believe that it is fragrance that enhances the quality of human life and creates the function of life-enhancing feelings in an infinite positive spiral, and together with my uncle Takeo Ishida, the second generation, we have laid the foundation that continues to the present.

We now celebrate the 75th anniversary of our company in 2022 thanks to your continued patronage.

Looking toward the next 100 years, we expect to continue to contribute to an enriched social life as flavor professionals. We take in and absorb of the needs of the time, and reflect this back by bringing excitement to people through flavor, while striving for food safety and peace of mind.
