The National Outreach Forum (NOrF) is a multi-professional interest group that seeks to promote excellence in the care of acutely unwell and deteriorating patients.
NOrF provides a representative forum for Critical Care Outreach, Rapid and Emergency Response, Acute Care and Patient at Risk Teams, for service providers and for patients and families.
The objectives of NOrF are to optimise the quality of care for the deteriorating and acutely ill patients, their management and experience.
NOrF promotes improvement in the quality of care of patients on general wards, who require higher levels of care and aims to promote collaborative trans-disciplinary and multidisciplinary patient-centred partnerships. It also aims to support the staff caring for patients on general wards, who require higher levels of care and to disseminate best practice evidence to those caring for these patients in varied clinical settings.

The aim of the iSRRS is to improve the prevention of, and response to acute deterioration in hospitalised patients.
The objectives of the iSRRS are to:
- Promote the health and safety of hospitalized patients through the use of rapid response systems
- Create a membership-based society to foster education of and research on rapid response systems
- Create a forum for interaction of professionals and patients to promote the health and safety of patients using rapid response systems
