Private 5G has been seen as a solution for Corporate and Large Enterprise users, but at OpenNebula we have a vision that open or disaggregated solutions, from the RAN to the Core all the way to the public cloud will expand the Private 5G market to SME, municipalities, health & educational institutions.

To make this vision a reality OpenNebula together with relevant partners is building a solution capable of providing Private 5G plus edge computing capabilities for third party services beyond the Telco needs.

UNICO-5G ONEedge5G5G-Advanced will improve network performance and will bring support for new use cases, offering unique capabilities for the deployment of distributed edge environments that guarantee mobility and optimum service levels to execute critical applications which demand very low latency. ONEedge5G is an industrial research project whose aim is to research on Artificial Intelligence techniques and Zero-Touch resource management methods for the efficient deployment and operation of distributed edge environments. 🇪🇺 🇪🇸 ONEedge5G (TSI-064200-2023-1) is supported by the Spanish Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service through the UNICO I+D 6G Program, co-funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
