Tembo NYC is a woman supporting women social enterprise creating fashion accessories, and home decor, that make a positive impact on our future.
Our bags and face masks are handmade in Queens, NYC by a Bangladeshi women’s sewing cooperative. For these women, Tembo and Artisan Sewing Cooperative partnership offers a pathway to empowerment and economic independence.
Expanding our product line to include Scarves for Good, Tembo collaborates with local artists to create visual stories of the things we love, while donating to the causes you love. A portion of our proceeds, go to the non-profit organizations that work to serve the causes highlighted by our beautiful scarves.
Sustainability is a neutral quality of premium goods. That is why when we chose to extend the line of our wearable arts, we chose the highly-skilled artisans of Italy to hand-craft our small leather goods.
Tembo NYC has been featured in Forbes, Crain's NYs "Champions in Manufacturing: Delivering PPE to those on the Covid front lines", NPR Marketplace, People Magazine, Business Insider and multiple local publications.
