A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 WTE Band 7 CNS to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. After March 2024 the post will be 0.84 wte and there may be a possibility for it to continue as a 1 wte.
The Endocrine and Late-Effects service serves the population of the South West Region. This role will also establish you as a key member of the team and you will be a point of contact within this area. Prior exposure to patients with endocrine and/or oncology conditions is desirable but not essential.
As well as the General Endocrine service you will be specifically responsible for managing the children who now have endocrine conditions as a result of their tumour or due to the treatment they have received. Also, you will be expected to coordinate the annual tests for the children who have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN) and develop a bespoke service. You will work alongside CNS colleagues to develop expertise as a key worker for children with differences in sex development (DSD) and hypoglycaemia. You will have line manager responsibilities.
Our Patient cohort can require specialist diagnostic tests, therapeutic treatments and regular monitoring. The post holder will be part of a team of specialist nurses who provide specialist nursing care, education and advice to both parents/carers and other stakeholders.
Salary
£41,659 - £47,672 pa pro rata
