Adult Staff Nurse - Pre Operative Assessment A606

A Band 5 role in our Pre-Operative Assessment Department & Surgical Admission unit could be the role for you. This is a diverse role, which involves history taking and assessment skills to manage the preoperative care of our patients. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary surgical team to aid the enhanced recovery patient journey. Your role will require you to assess our patients’ fitness for simple and complex surgery, as well as admitting and preparing patients for theatre on the day of admission. Recent surgical ward or theatre experience would be an advantage; however you will be fully supported throughout your time in the department and applications from newly qualified and experienced staff with acute nursing experience will be considered.
