Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a perinatal referral centre, within the North West Operational Delivery Network. The unit currently consists of 12 ICU cots, 12 high dependency cots and 10 special care cots. We are the designated Neonatal Surgical Centre for North West London and accept in-utero and post-natal transfers from throughout the South East of England and within London. As well as caring for newborn babies with surgical conditions we also care for sick and premature newborn babies with medical conditions.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Neonatal service as Neonatal Senior Sister/Charge Nurse
The post holder will be responsible for the daily clinical and operational management of the clinical areas and the professional development of the staff within those areas. The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse will provide support to all staff and will be required to work in partnership with all multi-disciplinary teams. You will be responsible for providing leadership and professional development for the nursing and support workers within the services. You will work with the Neonatal Matron and paediatric senior nurses to develop best practice and ensure that there is consistency across the directorate.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse with post registration qualification relevant to area of speciality or equivalent Neonatal intensive care qualification. You will also need relevant post registration experience and experience of excellence in leading all/part of a clinical team in practice.
