Band 5 and Band 6 Same Day Emergency Care

The SDEC is a 38 trolley space providing care for all speciality patients for the trust. The unit is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and is designed to facilitate rapid assessment and investigation of speciality patients referred from GP, NHS 111 and the Emergency department. Our Urgent Treatment Centre for minor injuries and illnesses is also part of the SDEC and you will be expected to work in all areas. Those who need hospital admission are streamed to either The Acute Medical Unit or specialist wards in the Trust or externally. Based in the busy West End of London, we have a lively and vibrant working atmosphere, with quick and easy transport links. We provide extensive in-house training including IV cannulation, venepuncture, plastering, assessment, Majors incident, control, and restraint, ILS, dementia training and mental health teaching.
