In the Critical Care Nursing team, we look after patients who need the most attention. From patients who are critically ill, to patients who need urgent care, our job is highly complex and involves the highest level of knowledge and expertise. Our Intensive care unit (ICU) provides high quality medical nursing and all other multidisciplinary services to patients who typically have one or more organ system failures. This takes continuous assessment, monitoring and support to prevent life-threatening deterioration Our Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) serves as an entry point for patients – providing services to patients who need immediate evaluation or admission for diagnostic tests or acute medical/surgical conditions 24/7. Our patients here require urgent but not emergency treatment. Within the Critical Care Nursing Directorate, we will be looking to recruit into the following roles; Charge Nurses (AAU & ICU) Senior Staff Nurses (AAU & ICU) Staff Nurses (AAU & ICU) Healthcare Assistants (AAU & ICU) Outreach Lead ICU Critical Care Audit Officer We will be recruiting a limited number of vacancies throughout 2020/21 and will be taking interest from patient focused Caregivers.
