As junior Clinical editor, you will work with a core team of clinical editors, liaising with authors and peer reviewers to ensure editorial standards, and clinical content is delivered on time and internal editorial deadlines are met. You will review editorial processes and assist in developing new guidelines and also help managing bespoke editorial projects. Key responsibilities: • Liaising with editors and authors regarding editorial deadlines • Checking article submissions to ensure they meet NT editorial guidelines • Liaising with the production team regarding deadlines, proofs, and layouts • Providing day to day management of updating programmes for NT learning units • Managing the process for self-assessment and journal club submissions • Producing by-monthly reports on engagement • Working with the online editor on updating clinical zones • Supporting other members of the team with individual projects • Working with authors on video or aural content to promote and support articles Skills and experience: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Empathise with authors and offer constructive feedback and support • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, using Excel at an intermediate level • Basic WordPress skills or use of other content management systems • Multimedia skills, such as basic picture and video editing • Experience of academic publishing • An understanding of reader engagement and social media
