Information
Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care for patients who are facing life limiting illnesses enabling them to have the best possible quality of life.
Working as part of a wider team, you will visit patients in their homes in and around North Hertfordshire to provide basic nursing and personal care support. Our aim is to ensure patients with life limiting illnesses, and those who matter to them, are at the centre of the care we provide whilst enabling them to be comfortable and remain in their own homes.
You will be an experienced Health Care Assistant and possess (or be working towards) an NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health Care. Ideally you will have experience of working in the community and be able to demonstrate excellent caring, communication and team working skills.
The role will at times be demanding but also very rewarding. Our service is operational 7 days a week - 8.00 am to 9.30 pm each day. You will need to be able to work flexibly, have access to a car and a UK driving licence.
We reward our staff with autonomy in their role and a supportive culture that encourages healthy work life balance. Our benefits include 27 days annual leave, pension (including continuation of NHS pension), individual personal development, unsocial hours payments and business mileage.
