Staff Nurse - Cardiovascular Services

The Cardiovascular ward has an opportunity for an enthusiastic band 5 staff nurse to join our team. The ward comprises 26 beds with a range of primarily Vascular and Cardiac patients. We care for a variety of pre- and post-operative patients including coronary artery bypass and valve surgery, revascularisation, amputation and cardiology procedures. We work closely with the wider MDT including the Tissue Viability and Diabetic foot teams, Heart failure Nurse Specialists, Discharge coordinator and therapy teams. We specialise in wound management, VAC and larvae therapy. We deliver complex discharge planning and liaise with community teams for ongoing support and therapy. We offer a supportive environment in which you can both enhance your clinical and management skills. We also offer training opportunities such as Student Supervisor and Assessor training, in-house training, clinical simulations, and preceptorship programme.
