The post holder will provide a highly specialist Systemic Psychotherapy which will be based on highly developed specialist knowledge about helping young people and their families with eating disorders. You will be able to develop your role into an 8a post under the guidance of the existing 8b SFT.
You will work closely with the Service Manager and the Family Therapy Lead, to support the full implementation of Family Therapy for our service users and parents/carers following NICE Guidelines for Eating Disorders. You will also support any Family Therapy Trainees within EDS
We currently treat all young people presenting with Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID, Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. Due to the 2016 NHSE Access and Waiting Times Guidance for Eating Disorders, we have developed additional pathways to ensure more timely delivery of evidenced based psychological therapies for all of our children and young people. This new post is to enhance that remit. The team is very well established and performing to an outstanding level.
It is essential that you are a car driver and have use of a car as you will be required to attend CPA’s for your clients. Training and research opportunities are available and we have strong links with the Adult ED Team.
