Antelope House is our acute mental health inpatient and psychiatric intensive care unit. Where we offer high quality, recovery focused care to adult with a range of mental health needs. Our Saxon Ward, male acute mental health inpatient unit, accommodates 18 beds (+ 1 emergency bed) with a functional mental illness – such as depression, a personality disorder or schizophrenia. The focus is on supporting Southampton men during the most acute period of their recovery working in partnership with the patient and their family. As a member of the team, you will support the delivery of responsive, evidence based recovery focused care to the service users in acute mental health crisis. We think working within mental health has to be one of the most rewarding careers to be in. In Antelope House we have Male and Female Acute wards, a Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward and in autumn of this year we are due to open a Female Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward.  Hampshire is based in the centre of the South Coast. As well as the idyllic New Forest National Park we have some the country’s best beaches and coastline on our doorstep. You can pop on the ferry to Isle of Wight and join in with the annual music festival. There are also regular Farmers’ Markets held in villages across the county selling fresh, local produce and a range of homemade treats.  For those of you who enjoy sport we have a county cricket team and a premier league football team. If you love the water, then Hampshire is for you! We host Cowes Week sailing event, and a kite surfing festival every year.
