Junior Sister/Charge Nurse (PICU)
As a junior sister/charge nurse in PICU we will support you to develop the clinical and leadership competencies required to fulfil this role successfully. The post is unique in equipping you with advanced clinical competencies in collaboration with the skills required to in-charge an Intensive Care Department.
You need to be RN (1) Child, and hold a relevant critical care and mentorship qualification.
Junior Sister/Charge Nurse (PHDU)
As a Junior Sister in PHDU you will be responsible for the day to day running of the department and managing a small team of staff. We will support you in developing the necessary clinical and leadership competencies required.
You need to be RN (1) Child, and hold a mentorship qualification. An additional qualification or equivalent competence in a specialist/acute area or care of the high dependency patient is desirable. Each candidate will attend structured study days facilitated by the paediatric education team aimed to develop knowledge and skills in the provision of care to children within the critical care centre. Candidates may be able to obtain a high dependency qualification from one of the affiliated universities of King’s College Hospital.
