NHS Ayrshire & Arran is investing in the provision of safe, effective, person-centred care for the most vulnerable and high risk children across Scotland and has been chosen to provide a National Secure Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit on behalf of all Scottish health boards. The campus is situated in the south west of Scotland on the Firth of Clyde coastline. Ayrshire and Arran is a 30 minute drive from Glasgow - Scotland's largest city - and an easy commute by road or rail to our capital city Edinburgh. The area boasts sports and recreational facilities, including golf courses, water sports, award winning visitor attractions and a rich culture and heritage, in addition to a vast array of restaurants and bars. The area is supported by an excellent network of road and rail services, with easy access to Glasgow International Airport. There is excellent affordable housing and good schools locally.
