Shinhan Financial is one of Korea’s largest banking group. Its subsidiaries provide a full range of financial services. For instance, it has two banking units including Shinhan Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Korea, and regional bank Jeju Bank. About 40% of its earnings come from its nonbank units, which include Shinhan Card, the country’s largest credit card company, brokerage firm Shinhan Investment, and Shinhan Life that has a top-five presence in life insurance. It also owns leasing firm Shinhan Capital, Shinhan asset-management firm, among others.
