Precision OT’s 100G QSFP28 ZR4 transceiver is commonly used for high-speed data center interconnects and routing applications. With the support of FEC (forward error correction), it has the capability to transmit and receive at distances up to 80km over single mode fiber. The 100G QSFP28 ZR4 enables point-to-point network connectivity without the extra cost and hassle of amplification, dispersion compensation or other high-cost alternatives, such as coherent or legacy CFP/CFP2 interfaces. It also alleviates fiber shortage issues through increased port density by utilizing the QSFP28 form factor.
