NewImages Residencies: what's next?

NewImages Hub artistic residencies feedback session

For the 2023/2024 season, NewImages Hub has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting international immersive creation by co-creating artistic residencies with an extra-European reach. With partner institutions in Taiwan and Paraguay, and this year in France with Universcience, NewImages Hub encourages young creators by fostering the emergence of new talent and new collaborations between different international ecosystems.

This residency feedback session is dedicated to the work of the residents from two residency programs:

• NewImages Residency in Paris, the first residency to take place in France, inaugurated by the stays of two prizewinners from Taiwan and Paraguay, with partners such as Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), Kaohsiung Film Archive and the French Office in Taipei with the support of l’Institut Français (IF) and EXPYLAB (Laboratorio de Experiencias Inmersivas Paraguay) produced by AL MANGO and l’Alianza Francesa de Asunción (Paraguay).

• Villa Formose Immersive, France XR Prototyping Residency (1 winning studio) and France XR Writing Residency (4 winning creators), for which the Forum des images (NewImages Hub) partnered with the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), Kaohsiung Film Archive and the French Office in Taipei, to launch an exceptional bilateral residency program for immersive creation between France and Taiwan
