Conducting Diversity Audits for Small & Midsize Libraries

Howe Library began conducting a diversity audit on our collections in 2021. We will present our process, implementation, and findings. We will discuss why we made the decision to do a diversity audit, what we plan to do with the information gathered, and how it will affect acquisitions and programming for the future. We will try to be as inclusive as possible of other libraries’ sizes and budgetary constraints in the hope that others will be able to implement at least some elements intotheir processes.
