Starting or Growing a Regional Library Advocacy Group

While exhibiting at the MLA Conference in May, representatives of CMLA (Central Massachusetts Library Advocates) and WMLA (Western Library Advocates) received many questions from attendees about how they would go about starting a group in their area. At this session representatives from CMLA (established 2018) and WMLA (founded in 2004) will share information about how their organizations were founded, how they grew, what their current programs and services are and talk about the roadblocks and successes their organizations have faced.
