Nativo Açai was started in 2006 after our founder had fallen in love with açai on a trip to Rio de Janeiro. At that time, açai was difficult to find in the U.S., so I enlisted my Brazilian wife to help me find a way to bring it to Miami. We searched for the right people to work with and were fortunate enough to find a small, family-owned, factory that produced açai for the Brazilian market. We started selling Nativo Açai out of our cars after working our regular day jobs. We love what we do.
