Meeting of the Berlin Event Industry

The ‚Fachgruppe der Berliner Veranstaltungswirtschaft in der Berlin Music Commission‘ (Berlin event industry section within in the BMC) is inviting everyone to this public meeting.

The ‚Fachgruppe der Berliner Veranstaltungswirtschaft in der Berlin Music Commission‘ is an association of companies from all sectors of the event industry in Berlin, that actively participates in current political events and represents the concerns of Berlin's music and culture industry. At the moment, the Fachgruppe has around 35 active and another 45 associated members. These range from all relevant concert promoters such as Trinity Music, MCT, Berthold Seliger Konzertagentur and KBK over the biggest live venues such as Mercedes Benz Arena and Verti Music Hall (Anschutz Entertainment Group), Max-Schmeling-Halle and Velodrom (Velomax) to the Zitadelle Spandau (Channel Music) and Columbiahalle. Also some of the most important event service supplier such as B.E.S.T., Innercircle and mediapool are part of the group.

We want to discuss these topics with you:

• How do we detect right-wing tendencies in the music and event tendencies and what can we do against them?
• Sustainability: Which legal and funding requirements do actually make sense and how do we deal with them as an industry?
• Cost explosion in the event industry: Do we have to impose a cap on ourselves, since at some point we will no longer be able to raise ticket prices?
• The future of our events industry group - current topics, news members, regular meetings, etc.

We look forward to further suggestions for topics. The meeting will be held in German language.

After the meeting, everyone is invited to join us at the bar at Frannz for a drink or two and to visit the showcase festival MW:M Live.
