Sofi Paez

🇬🇧 Sofi Paez is a pianist and singer-songwriter born in San José, Costa Rica. She experiments with her piano and voice, and searches for new ways of expression in her roots, using both the Spanish and English language. The piano pieces are often inspired by minimalism and the nature that surrounds her.

In 2023 Sofi released her EP ‘Circles’ and is now promoting the new songs, touring in Germany, Czechia and Poland. Her piano piece ‘Catalyst’ was released as part of ‘Piano Layers Vol II’ compilation released by 7k! and this year, the piece ‘If I could do it all again’ was highlighted in the BBC series ‘Ultimate Calm’ by Ólafur Arnalds. Sofi has also performed on the stages like the National Theatre of Costa Rica, Funkhaus and TEDxPuravida.

🇩🇪 Sofi Paez ist eine Pianistin und Singer-Songwriterin aus San José, Costa Rica. Sie experimentiert mit einer Kombination aus Klavier und ihrer Stimme, auf spanisch und englisch, immer auf der Suche nach neuen Möglichkeiten des Ausdrucks. Ihre Stücke sind oft vom Minimalismus und der Natur inspiriert.

2023 veröffentlichte sie ihre EP „Circles“, welche sie nun auf ihrer Tour in Deutschland, Tschechien und Polen spielt.

Ihr Stück „Catalyst“ wurde als Teil der von 7k veröffentlichten Compilation ,,Piano Layers Vol Il“ veröffentlicht und ihr Werk „If I Could Do It All Again" schaffte es in die BBC-Reihe "Ultimate Calm" von Ólafur Arnalds. Sofi Paez trat bereits auf Bühnen wie dem Nationaltheater von Costa Rica, dem Funkhaus und TEDxPuravida auf.
