Project Pitch

Casa do Gaiato de Moçambique manages over 500 hectares of fertile land in Massaca (Boane District, Maputo Province), strategically located near Maputo and major logistics corridors. Currently, 80 hectares are under partial cultivation through internal management and partnerships (including moringa and coffee production). The project seeks an equity partner to develop a phased agro-industrial expansion, including irrigation infrastructure from an existing licensed water source, mechanised crop production, agro-processing facilities, and livestock integration. Target crops include high-value horticulture, tropical fruits (banana, papaya, mango, avocado), coffee, moringa, and specialty crops for domestic and export markets. The model combines commercial agribusiness returns with measurable social impact: employment generation (100+ direct jobs in expansion phase), vocational training for youth, and reinvestment into Casa do Gaiato’s child protection and education services. The project is structured as a joint venture or special purpose vehicle (SPV), ensuring professional governance and investor-grade transparency. Total capital required: €4 million for irrigation infrastructure, land preparation, mechanisation, and first production cycles
