Parknav was co-founded in 2013 by award winning Professor and Data Scientist, Prof. Dr. Eyal Amir, who was chosen by IEEE as one of the "10 to watch in AI" (2006), received the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation, and was awarded the Arthur L. Samuel award for best Computer Science Ph.D. thesis (2001-2002) at Stanford University. Since our founding, Parknav has won many awards (including 1st Place SXSW Accelerator Pitch Competition - 2016 and 1st Place FIA Formula E Smart City Challenge in Rome – 2019), been a part of many Accelerators (including Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in Seattle – 2015, Startup Bootcamp Berlin – 2017 and Wayra Accelerator 2019), been issued multiple USTPO patents (for “providing guidance for locating street parking”) / 1 pending PCT patent in the EU and expanded our offerings to include over 1000 cities (in North America and Europe) as well as turn-by-turn voice guided parking navigation for both on and off-street parking.
