Freeze drying is becoming more popular in the industry to dry and preserve cannabis products. This process causes the water in the plant to sublimate at low temperatures and pressures, resulting in a superior product and longer shelf life. By using a Busch COBRA or R5 coupled with a PANDA mechanical booster, the vacuum system will have peak pumping capacity in the desirable range.
Busch offers two designs of the COMBI vacuum pump units: Vacuum booster and backing pump flanged directly onto one another on a base frame or mounted in a single frame rack. A mobile base frame for these units is also an available option.
