The MED-GOLD  final showcase event  aims to disseminate and share end-user success stories from early adopters of the pilot services developed under the MED-GOLD project for Grape/wine, OLives/olive oil and Durum wheat/pasta sectors. A major focus of the event is to provide a hands-on approach to understanding and using the uncertainty associated with climate services. SOGRAPE, Dcoop, and Barilla will share success stories from the three case studies respectively on grape/wine, olive/olive oil, and durum wheat/pasta. This cross-fertilization among the different sectors will be conducive to ideas that disrupt the status quo, and help rethink the way we address climate challenges as producers, consumers, and policymakers for food systems that are both climate resilient and environmentally friendly. The event will ultimately enable participants to share and exchange ideas regarding the potential to apply and use MED-GOLD pilot services in their own cross-sectoral decision-making contexts.The first day will be focused on the success story from MED-GOLD experience: what the scientific and our industrial partners gained from being in the project and solving the problems that emerged during the process of co-developing climate services.The second day will be more focused on the contribution of MED-GOLD to society generally speaking, towards a more resilient society but also contribution to Sustainable Development Goals. The potential replicability of the MED-GOLD Services will be also discussed starting from the experience on the coffee sector acquired during the project itself.This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under Grant agreement No. 776467.
