Sogrape Vinhos S.A. is a Portuguese family-owned business, headquartered in Avintes, Vila Nova de Gaia, dedicated to growing grapes, wine production and export. It is currently the largest company in the sector operating in Portugal with a strong international presence and recognized as one of the best wine companies in the world by the global media.

The company was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, creator of the most international Portuguese table wine, Mateus Rosé. SOGRAPE owns the wine brands Mateus, Sandeman, Gazela, Ferreira, Casa Ferreirinha, among others.

SOGRAPE has grape production in 12 wine-growing regions spread over 5 countries of origin (Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Chile, and New Zealand), farming a total of 1 649 ha of vineyards.

With a growing presence in the global market (> 120 markets), the company sold over 150 bottles per minute, generating a turnover of close to €250 million in 2020. Alongside its recognised success and commitment to the production of high-quality wines and major brands, sustainability is another of SOGRAPE's priorities, which over the years has sought to implement measures to ensure sustainable production, climate protection, the environment and life on Earth.
