Project Pitch
MONROVIA LOGISTICS PLATFORM (MLP): The Monrovia Logistics Platform (MLP) is an integrated logistics and trade facilitation project designed to improve the efficiency, reliability, and competitiveness of Liberia’s import and export supply chains, while strengthening connectivity with European and global markets. MLP is structured as a platform combining operational brownfield assets with a scalable greenfield development pipeline. Existing assets include the Inland Storage and Distribution Facility (ISDF), a customs-controlled bonded and non-bonded warehousing complex that relieves port congestion, and the Roberts Air Cargo Centre (RACC), Liberia’s first modern air cargo handling facility supporting time-sensitive import and export cargo. Both assets are operational and available for strategic or financial equity investment. The next phase of the platform is the Monrovia Dry Port / Export Processing Centre (EPC), a greenfield development designed to enable digital export processing, commodity aggregation, inland container handling, and value-added logistics services. The EPC represents the primary near-term growth project and is structured to accommodate equity, debt, blended finance and/or grants The business model is based on long-term asset ownership and professional operations, generating revenue through storage fees, handling charges, export processing services, and logistics coordination across sea, air, and inland cargo flows. Operationally, MLP functions as a single integrated system, coordinating with customs authorities, port operators, airlines, and public stakeholders to improve customs visibility, reduce dwell times, lower the cost of doing business, and strengthen regional and EU-linked trade corridors.
Team
The Monrovia Logistics Platform (MLP) is delivered by a multidisciplinary team with experience in logistics operations, infrastructure development, and trade facilitation. The team combines strong local execution capacity in Liberia with international expertise across bonded logistics, warehousing, air cargo, and export processing. The project team has a proven track record of working with public authorities, development partners, and private sector operators to support efficient trade corridors, improve cross-border logistics, and strengthen regional value chains between Africa and international markets, including the European Union.
