This event is organised by flanders.bio and Biotope by VIB. We aim to showcase promising Belgian agri & food biotech start-ups for an audience of investors and corporate executives. The focus of this event is on early-stage agrifood entrepreneurs who are in the process of building their business case, setting up their company and are in fundraising mode (pre-seed or seed phase). During this session, they will have the opportunity to present themselves, their technology, market opportunity and business model through a 15-minute pitch, followed by a question-and-answer session. Our aim is not solely centred around securing financing for the start-ups. Instead we aim to provide them with the opportunity to generate interest for their company and gain valuable feedback from a panel of experienced investment judges and business experts, each other, and other stakeholders. Both early and later stage investors in agrifood are invited, together with a selected number of corporates and seasoned entrepreneurs. Your role during this session is crucial. We expect a critical dialogue where you ask questions, share tips, and provide insights into the investment climate. All of this will contribute to challenging and strengthening the pitches, presentations, business models, and management teams of the start-ups.
