Junior Researcher Plant Cultivation

R&D

Information

Within BASF Seed and Traits R&D, plant cultivation refers to the growth of plants and the production of quality seeds in greenhouses and growth chambers. The Plant Cultivation group in Trait Research grows plants for crops such as wheat, soybean, oilseed rape and cotton, and produces and ships high quality seeds for further evaluation in the greenhouse or in the field. The group operates and carries this responsibility at multiple locations around Gent. Plant Cultivation aims at being highly experienced and predictable in workflow-based operational organization towards minimal cost and timelines, while also ensuring required quality, both at the level of purity as well as at the level of Plant Genetic Integrity. Plant Cultivation also aims at being state-of-the-art by identifying, developing, and implementing the latest technology and infrastructure. Plant Cultivation is embedded in a research department that focuses on trait design, creation, and testing, and supports the testing of genetic engineering, genome editing and mutagenesis-based traits. For the Plant Cultivation group in our R&D Innovation Center in Gent (Belgium) we are looking for a pragmatic, enthusiastic and inspiring Junior Researcher. https://workatbasfgent.be/junior-researcher-plant-cultivation/
