Academic knowledge and expertise is hereby translated into economical and societal benefit. By solving concrete problems in close interaction with end users in an iterative way, we maximize this impact and enable future valorization of developed solutions. Concrete examples that highlight the added value and way of working of the Antwerp Design Factory in the context of physiotherapy include the muscle tone measuring device and the novel scapula brace.
