You take ownership of various projects, from initiation to planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and delivery. You coordinate functional project teams within a specific domain of the drug development cycle. You coach and support less experienced project managers. You manage and ensure effective communication with stakeholders. You are supported by the R&D Project Planner and you report to the program manager.
Your role:
• Perform scenario simulations and advise optimum scientific development strategy.
• Translate scientific strategy into project plan and create project charter, taking in account cross-functional interdependencies.
• Define budget and resource needs, create WBS, set deliverables, compose team, perform critical path analysis.
• Own project budget, monitor and optimize project planning, control resources.
• Coordinate functional project team and take full accountability of completion of deliverables, balancing quality and timeliness.
• Monitor and optimize project planning, control resources and own budget.
• Conduct contingency planning, perform scenario analysis, identify and manage operational risks and issues.

Your profile:
• Master’s degree or higher in Science
• Previous project management experience in the industry
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch & English
• Excellent analytical, planning and organizing skills
• Good coaching, collaboration and leadership skills
• Good knowledge of project management methodology (PMBOK) and project planning tools (MS Project, Planisware ...), project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
• Good knowledge of the drug development cycle, particularly the complex interaction between various contributors (preclinical, clinical, CMC, regulatory etc.)
• Able to work in an international environment and as part of virtual project teams
• Literacy in MS Office suite
